Large Wood Block
Sometimes I wonder if we should provide a mattress or a cushy stuffed chair for models to use with their poses. The pose below, on a large wood block, can’t be very comfortable. On the other hand, we don’t want the model to fall asleep during a pose. But, then again, if the model is asleep there’s less chance of moving during the pose.

Most often, the model determine the pose, especially if the model is experienced. Every once in a while an artist will request a pose, or a small adjustment to the current pose.
