About a gallery somewhere
Above, Gallery Director, John Tollett, stands on a rock in Wadi Rum, Jordan, where the followers of Lawrence of Arabia carved a portrait of Lawrence (or so the story is told).
A Gallery Somewhere started as a virtual gallery and personal website for artist/designer John Tollett. It began sharing space with a Shakespeare Reading Room and became a pop-up gallery with occasional exhibits and drawing events. The COVID-19 pandemic shut down the Reading Room and the occasional pop-up exhibits in late 2020.
John’s background includes working as an art director, designer, writer, and illustrator for advertising agencies, publishers, and freelance clients.
Waiting for the first guests to arrive at the opening of his art exhibit (100 life drawings and various digital prints), John browses the exhibit catalog.
Enjoying an exhibit at the Saatchi Gallery, London.
Visiting the Cartoonist Pub/Gallery in London. Love the menu board: “Cod and Chips with Mushy Peas.”
