A Movie Tribute

I’ve been editing a movie, a tribute to the Tuesday Night Drawing artists and models who kept alive the 52-year tradition of a weekly drawing group by meeting and drawing online via Zoom during the COVID-19 pandemic. The artists and models have been meeting online weekly since March, 2020, thanks to the volunteer efforts of several leaders of the group.

I originally planned a 5-minute movie that I could post on YouTube, if I could get 4 or 5 artists to contribute some content. After almost 20 artists signed up with great content, the project expanded to a 23-minute movie with a one night World Premiere planned at a plush local theater.

A date for the premiere was set for late July, but the surge of the COVID Delta variant forced us to put the event on hold until people are more comfortable with attending a group event.

We’ll evaluate the situation at the end of August and, hopefully, we will be able to reschedule the event soon.

Adding some color and texture to a charcoal drawing for the Tuesday Night Drawing movie. Each artist in the movie has one minute of content (drawings, paintings, sculpture, personal photos, dog photos, video, etc.).
